About Eliana Caille

I grew up with a strong Southern Baptist upbringing on a cotton farm in West Texas. Even then I was curious and intrigued by astrology. Although the general attitude of evangelicals is to reject astrology as incompatible with Christianity, I couldn't help but notice the role that astrology played in the Bible from Genesis 1, which says the stars were made for signs and seasons, to the Levitical Law, which established feasts around the equinoxes, solstices, and annual lunar transits, to the divination practiced by Joseph, Daniel, and very obviously the Magi who followed a star to the site of Jesus' birth; not to mention the book of Revelation which overflows with astrological references. But the modern evangelical influence was strong, and although I attempted to research a little, I found astrology complicated and confusing (because it's actually a complex language) so I never had the resources of information to learn.

My Philosophy: It is a scared privilege to be given access to someone's natal promise. I am speaking into every area of your life - your experiences, joys, and challenges, and your dreams and aspirations for the future. As an astrologer we must hold that with a deep reverence of respect to not only interpret but give insight and guidance while still holding space for the unique perspective and personhood of the person to whom we offer insight.

How I Discovered Classical Astrology

I attended Texas Tech University where I studied communication and afterwards was an Aerospace Physiology Instructor in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, I founded a clean skincare brand which I built into a multi-national company with distribution on three continents. I loved and enjoyed this experience, but in 2019 the Women's ministry at the Baptist Church I attended in Bulverde, Texas played a film called The Star of Bethlehem Documentary. The documentary - created by Rick Larson detailed a law professors investigation of the phenomenon of the Star that appeared at the time of the birth of Jesus and his attempt to understand the phenomenom.

I didn't fully know it at the time, but this entire documentary was pure astrology. Larson spent his time making the case that the Christmas star was a Jupiter retrograde in the zodiac sign of Leo over a fixed star called Regulus. He discusses eclipses, full moons, zodiac signs and even details references to them in the Bible. In order to do so, he explains many basic astrological principles.

The Church loved it, and I was completely intrigued and dove into research which led me to to a variety of classical astrologers whose content finally began to help me unravel the basics astrology and Larson's video also clarified for me that the evangelical embargo on astrology isn't actually rooted in anything Biblical.

In time some very difficult experiences with the integrity of the leadership of that same church would lead me to ask some very piercing questions about whether American evangelicalism aligns itself with the text of the Bible very much at all - my experience within the church also reflected instill in patterns I observed in other evangelical churches and the broader evangelical community.

In all honestly it was a very disorienting experience, but a totally necessary one that eventually led me to a more thorough study of the cultural and historical context of the Bible, the original languages, and the truths lost, hidden, or ignored by American evangelicals. It remains one of my favorite topics to this day and it is *very* easy to get me to chase that rabbit in discussion.

My Astrological Education

I never intended to become a professional astrologer. When I began to study astrology - it was purely in pursuit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

There are many branches and concentrations in astrology, and ultimately astrology is an archetypal system for deriving meaning, but because I was drawn to the rich ancient wisdom, philosophical ideas, history, and spiritual depth of astrology I chose to study the ancient form of astrology developed by the ancient babylonians and Egyptians and finally syncretized into a complete system by the ancient greeks. This form of astrology is known as Classical or Hellenistic Astrology.

I enrolled in the Nightlight Astrology Ancient Astrology for the Modern Mystic - Year 1 Course, Led by Adam Elenbaas in 2019 and In 2021 I also completed his Year 2 Hellenistic Astrology Course. I went on to Study Fixed Stars with Austin Coppock to deepen my understanding of Fixed Stars through the writings of Bernadette Brady.

Astrology is an endless sea of wisdom and knowledge and it is my belief that an astrologer the best astrologers are also life long students. I will continue to broaden my eductation with a variety of well known classical and hellensitc astrologers in the community.

How I became a Professional Astrologer

I've already shared that I initially had no intention of becoming a professional astrologer - but very interestingly during a series of eclipses through my 10th house of career a professional astrology career just evolved. My experience at my Baptist Church plunged me into a deep existential crisis combined with a very serious depression. The level of betrayal, disappointment, and disillusionment I felt is hard to quantify - it took all of my available energy just to continue to function. So shortly after leaving the church, I also closed my business. Healing was slow...

Several months later I came across an astrological discussion on tiktok and some comments that were missing a bit of information - so I shared what I knew from my years of study and one of the people asked me if I would make some videos about it - so I created the TikTok Account that I use to this day.

I created education and transit analysis content and then in order to gain experience with reading birth charts I began offering donation based readings on TikTok Live. Following the example of my teacher I did my first 1000 readings bay - and in 2022 I began offering private consultations. Since then I have read more than 1500 charts.

What began as a personal practice became a passion and a career - and through that experience I discovered a deep love of making astrology accessible to people, even if they have no previous understanding. I now speak with hundreds of clients a year, make hours, of video content, and spend even more hours in deep study to continue to grow and learn as an astrologer.
